PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF WILDLAND FIRES

Reminder for the Municipality of Norfolk Treherne:

All burning must be reported to and authorized in advance by the fire chiefs and may only be conducted once all necessary precautions/procedures have been put in place as outlined in By-Law.

Arrangements to burn may be made by completing and submitting a burn permit application or calling the Municipal Office at (204)723-2044 to obtain a copy.

No burning is allowed once a burning ban has been implemented.  

Burn Permits Approved to date (December 1, 2021):

- JB Growers - SW 22-9-10W from May 3 - December 31, 2021.

- JB Growers Ltd. - NW 26-8-10W from September 20 - December 31, 2021.

- Gary Robinson - SW-25-8-10W from November 23, 2021 to April 20, 2022.

- Marie Delf - NW-12-9-9 & NE-7-9-8 from November 22, 2021 to December 15, 2021.

Fines are up to $1000 for offences.
